வியாதி - Viyaathi
s. sickness, disease, நோய்.
யாதி முற்றினால் வியாதி, too much thought brings disease. வியாதிக்காரன், வியாதிஸ்தன், வியாதி யஸ்தன், a sick man. வியாதி பரிட்சை, அஷ்டதானப் பரிட்சை, the eight places of symptoms:- pulse, face, stool, urine, eyes, tongue, body and the voice. வியாதியாய் விழ, to fall sick.
நோய் - Nooy
s. sickness, disease, வியாதி; 2. suffering, trouble, துன்பம்; 3. pain, smart, நோ.
நோயும் பாயுமாய்க் கிடக்க, to be bedridden. நோயாளி, a sick person, a patient. நோய்கொள்ள, -பிடிக்க, to fall sick, to become diseased. நோய் விழ, to affected as a patient etc.
