பாதகம் - Paathakam
s. (poet. பதகம்) a crime, a grievous sin, துரோகம்.
பாதகஞ்செய்ய, to commit sin. பாதகன், (fem. பாதகி) a criminal, a sinner. பஞ்ச பாதகம், பஞ்ச மகா பாதகம், the five worst sins:- கொலை, murder; 2. காமம், lust; 3. கள்ளுண்ணல், drinking toddy; 4. களவு, theft; 5.குருநிந்தை, abuse of the guru. அதனால் பாதகம் இல்லை, it does not matter, it will not injure or be harmful.
பூதம் - Puutham
s. past tense, இறந்தகாலம்; 2. life, a living being, சீவசெந்து; 3. a Bhuta, a ghost, a spectre, a malignant spirit, a goblin; 4. any of the five elements; 5. the 2nd lunar asterism, பரணி; 6. cleanness, purity, தூய்மை; 7. the banyan tree ஆலமரம்.
